To Return to the Main Pool & Spa Safety Page, click hereYou purchased your Pool to give you years of enjoyment. But like any kind of water recreation, there are certain precautions which must be followed to minimize the risk of injury.

Make safety a habit with your entire family

Shower first with soap & water to reduce the likelihood of contaminating the pool water & minimize health risks.

Persons with open sores or any type of infection should not use the pool. The water is an ideal environment for spreading infection, especially if sanitizer levels are not properly maintained.

Never drink alcoholic beverages before or during pool use. Alcohol can make you drowsy & lead to drowning. Anyone taking medication should consult their physician before using a spa.

Children should not be permitted to use the pool without adult supervision.

People with long hair must tie it back to keep it from being pulled into the filter & drain.

Handrails & non-slip surfaces will help to minimize the risk of slipping and falling.

Never use any kind of electrical appliance or devise while using the pool.

Never use your pool during sever weather conditions (i.e. electrical storms, tornadoes, etc.)

Never jump or dive into an aboveground pool . Climb in carefully.

Never dive into the shallow end of the pool or into pools marked "NO DIVING".

Marks indicating the waters depth are helpful in preventing accidents.

Insist on safe use of the pool & ALL of its equipment. No horseplay. Ask people to leave if they're unwilling to follow safe behavior.

Glassware should never be allowed in the pool area.
