Maintaining a pool using Chlorine or bromine

Regular weekly chemical maintenance of your pool is incredibly necessary to prevent algae or cloudy water, and keep sparkling crystal clear blue water.  Follow these steps:

[  ]  Clean Filter with BioGuard® Strip Kwik or Kleen It about every 6  to 8 weeks.
[  ]  Run filter a MINIMUM of 12 hours DAILY.
[  ]  Add an MAINTENANCE DOSAGE of BioGuard® Back Up® or Algae All 60 algicide to prevent algae growth. Add a Weekly without fail.
[  ]  Shock the pool WEEKLY with BioGuard® Burn Out® Extreme or Smart Shock® or Easy Shock & Swim®. Shocking a bromine pool on a weekly basis helps to "recharge" the bromine, helping it to last longer.
[  ]  Maintain Total Alkalinity & Calcium Hardness at proper levels.
[  ]  Thoroughly BRUSH the pool walls weekly.
[  ]  Remove ladder (s) from pool & clean with BioGuard® Stow Away.  Perform this step once each month.
[  ]  Maintain BioGuard® Optimizer Plus level between 40 - 60 ppm.
[  ]  Clean Solar Blanket with BioGuard® Stow Away to remove all early algae & mildew growth. Perform this step once each month.
[  ]  Test your pool water at least twice a week.
[  ]  Bring in a 1 qt. water sample for a complete computerized analysis.
[  ]  USE THE POOL!
